Transport from airport to central business district
Buses take about an hour to get to the city (about $170 NT). Taxis cost about $1100NT
(includes a 50 percent surcharge). Private cars cost about $1200 NT.
Tipping
Tipping is optional. Hotels levy a 10 percent service charge; taxi drivers expect to
round off fares to the nearest $5 to $10 NT.
Banking hours
Banks are open 9 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday
Business Dress
Light, western suits are common office attire. Women wear suits and pantyhose;
tailored pants with jacket is also acceptable.
